Position description:
We are seeking a highly motivated System and Software Administrator to support and maintain our IT infrastructure. This role offers a diverse range of responsibilities, from system administration and enterprise tool management to supporting software and hardware needs across the company. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, with experience in Windows, Linux, AWS, networking, and some Python programming. We are looking for someone who thrives on solving new problems, enjoys learning, and is excited to work with evolving technologies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and maintain IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and applications, to ensure optimal performance and availability.
- Administer enterprise tools, both commercial and internally developed, ensuring they are properly configured, updated, and integrated into our systems.
- Provide technical support to employees, addressing hardware and software issues promptly and effectively.
- Assist with system administration tasks, including user management, backups, and security configurations.
- Manage and support cloud infrastructure, particularly within AWS, including provisioning, monitoring, and scaling of resources.
- Develop and maintain automation scripts using Python to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
- Collaborate with the IT team to implement and improve IT policies and procedures.
- Participate in the planning and execution of IT projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, escalating to senior team members when necessary.
- Document and maintain accurate records of IT systems, processes, and configurations.
Required skills:
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 2-4 years of experience in IT operations, system administration, or a similar role.
- Strong knowledge and experience with Windows, Linux, and AWS. Knowledge of Mac OS is a plus.
- Solid understanding of networking principles and best practices.
- Proficiency in Python programming for automation and scripting tasks.
- Experience with enterprise tools and software administration.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
- Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal.
- A proactive approach to learning and staying updated with the latest technology trends.
- Enthusiasm for solving new and challenging problems and a desire to continuously learn and adapt to changing technologies.
