Two-Factor Authentication

Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) is an access methodology that requires two separate forms of identification to grant access. In other words, the 2FA authentication requires that the user requesting access provides two or more pieces of information to an authentication service before successfully logging in.

This added level of security makes it much harder for unauthorized users to gain access to your systems. Enabling 2FA for your team means that logging into your user portal won’t be possible with just the username and password. It requires a temporary passcode that can only be obtained from a 3rd party authenticator app that would be installed on the user’s smartphone.
